A Ttl logo Game Character

Carol was Scrooge's partner. Another one of GHQ's test subjects until she escaped with Scrooge.

Carol is the only character shown to house a variety of Voids. Every time Scrooge draws out her Void, it manifests itself as a different weapon. Carol is also impervious to Scrooge's imperfect Power of Kings' drawbacks, meaning she actually survives having her Void drawn by him instead of immediately succumbing to the Apocalypse Virus.

Personality[]

A beautiful girl with a strange mood, often acting mischievus and cheeky towards Scrooge but also having strange fits of absentminded statements about his role as a king and the narrative nature of their lives.

She seems to possess a great deal of religious knowledge, often quoting various legends and myth depending on what the situation reminds her of and comparing her Voids to objects taken from tales of old.

Appearance[]

Carol is a young woman with short blue hair and orange eyes. She wears a white and brown cloak with a black skirt and leggings. She wears short black boots and a white hat on her head.

Plot[]

Carol was one of genome research subjects at the same Da'ath facility as Scrooge. During the latter's escape, he stumbles onto her and she comforts him, seemingly aware of the nature of his power and its connection to the Apocalypse Virus. Realizing that she will never get another opportunity to run away, she hands him a cloak and decides to escape together with him. As she helps him understand the nature of the facility, they come across an Endlave operated by Past which blocks their way. Placing Scrooge's hand onto her chest, she prompts him to use her as his "weapon" and to draw her Void, the crystallized form of her heart. After defeating the Endlave using the sword-shaped Void that came out of her, the two exit the facility and gaze upon the landing site of the Apocalypse Virus Meteorite. Carol asks Scrooge what he wants to do, and assures him that she will remain by his side to serve as the source of power of a rightful king until she breaks.

She follows Scrooge during the rest of the journey and allows him to draw a large variety of Voids from her, always arriving in the nick of time to reunite with him when they are separated. She often jokes about the apocalyptic setting of their story and never appears to be fazed by any of the circumstances the two find themselves into, up until the climax of their fight with Past, where the overuse of her ability seems to take its toll of her.

Spoilers follow:

After the final confrontation with Present, she finally reveals to Scrooge that she is not the Ghost of "Yet to Come", but that the babies within her are. Prior to the creation of the dysfunctional Void Genome that wiped out his memories, the scientists of the research facility forced Scrooge to impregnate her, crystallizing their future children within her cancerous womb. As the babies could not neither be born or die, Scrooge destroyed them and reincarnated them each time he drew a Void from Carol, explaining her immunity to his hand as a result of her carrying a part of his genes within her. When Scrooge asks her what was the point of their hollow journey, and what she wanted from him, she elusively replies 'Nothing' and lets him make his final choice regarding the last Void he will draw from her. Depending on the actions of the player, the pair either obliterates themselves along with Mana Ouma or wishes each other a Merry Christmas before seemingly plunging the Apocalypse carrier into slumber.

Trivia[]

In one of the trailers for Guilty Crown: Lost Xmas, Carol was referred to as the "Lost Eve."
